Understanding xEdit's interface is crucial for efficient modding work.

Interface Layout

xEdit uses a three-panel layout: the left panel shows your load order and file structure, the middle panel displays record types and categories, and the right panel shows detailed record information and values. This design allows you to easily navigate from high-level file structure down to individual record details.
